Pride Talk – minorities visible in the audiovisual industry
PRIDE TALK – panel discussion event about diversity and representation
Pride Talk is a discussion event focusing on diversity, inequality, representation as well as the challenges gender and sexual minorities are facing in the film and tv industry. The point is to open up, what kind of pressure minorities are facing in both sides of the camera and to think, how still today so huge part of productions diversity talk is just ”ticking the boxes” in stead of genuine representation. Is it all about pink wash? How has the industry developed? Where are we today? What still needs to be done? Panelists are both from behind the camera as well as infant of the camera. We also have a viewers point of view represented. What does this all sound like for the viewer? Is it easy to find content you can relate to?
The panelists are:
Johanna Tarvainen, tuottaja / producer
Jantsu Puumalainen, casting-ammattilainen ja valmentaja / casting professional and coach
Aarne Lehti, näyttelijä / actor
Sari Rantaniemi, sateenkaariaktivisti / LGBTQIA2S+ activist (#normiarkee)
