At Hobo, we are uniting the hyper-urban brutalism of Kluuvi area with a feeling of freedom and easiness. Think: traveling in a vintage VW camper and preparing food at a campfire. Our look and feel centers around the guests who love the adventure of traveling. We want them to experience thoughtful materials, community, music and good talks.

Hobo is located in the very center of Helsinki. For real, it doesn’t get more central than this! You’ll find us at Kluuvikatu 4, 00100 Helsinki.

Optimistic architecture

With Hobo, Aisslinger has worked on the concept of creating a clean, modern and optimistic experience, where urbanism is highlighted with a lively, hippy feel. Here, creative functionalism is key.

Several specially-designed products have been produced by Studio Aisslinger, among them the Hobo sofa, designed together with the Italian furniture manufacturer Cappellini. 

Hobo is aiming to be the number one meeting-spot for the urban traveler, regardless of their age. Playfulness, co-creation, awareness and the love for the city are the main ingredients for the building. The core belief is that we all work, play and live better when we do it together.

STUDIO AISSLINGER

THE TEAM BEHIND THE BEAUTY

Hobo’s interior is designed by the Berlin-based Studio Aisslinger. Studio Aisslinger is run by Werner Aisslinger, who has been responsible for several artistic and experimental projects in addition to hotels. His designs have won awards around the world, and the design team at Studio Aisslinger are the same people behind Hotel Michelberger and 25h Bikini Hotel in Berlin.

Hobo Stockholm & Hobo Helsinki were the German Studio’s first projects in Sweden and in Finland.

Facilities at Hobo so your experience would be as smooth as butter.

HOBO GYM

Not to brag, but we think Hobo Helsinki's gym is the best hotel gym in town! It's equipped with a variety of amazing Technogym equipment such as treadmills, bike, racks, benches, bench press, together with a huuuge variaty of dumbbells and so on. Come and see for yourself! Hobo's gym is included in all stays. 

If you just want to pop by and have a sesh, it's 10 € / training (note: there is no locker room or shower).

PARKING

Hobo is collaborating with Europark P-Kluuvi public parking garage.  

The garage works on a camera system, so the car can just be driven in to the parking garage.  The plate number must be communicated to the reception, and the parking pass can be added in 24H installments. 

The cost of the parking is 35 € / day [24 hours from the moment of driving in].  

The location and the opening times of the garage are: 

- Driving in : Fabianinkatu 27, 00100 Helsinki, at 06:00 - 24:00 

- Drive out possible : 24H (in case the doors are locked, they can be opened by writing the plate number without possible hyphens to the screens by the garage doors) 

CO-WORKING

We at Hobo believe in the power of community and connections. When creating our beautiful hotel, we created spaces for people to meet and spend time together – our bar is open every day, but also our 2nd floor Playground is a co-working communal space whenever there is no private event happening. We have some coffee always available downstairs by the lobby and wish all of you to wander and work at Hobo.
