Location & getting here

Where is Hobo Helsinki located, and what is nearby?

Hobo Helsinki is located in the Kluuvi district in the heart of Helsinki city center, on Kluuvikatu street near Esplanadi Park, Helsinki Cathedral, and Ateneum Art Museum. Major shopping streets, restaurants, and cultural attractions are all within easy walking distance. The Central Railway Station is a 5–10 minute walk away.

How do I get to Hobo Helsinki from Helsinki Airport?

The easiest and most affordable option is the commuter train — lines I and P run directly from the airport to Helsinki Central Station in just over 30 minutes, with tickets costing €4.50 per adult (2026 rates). From the station it's a 5–10 minute walk to the hotel. Taxis are also easily available from the airport and take approximately 30 minutes, though fares vary between companies — many offer fixed airport rates, so it's worth checking in advance.

Is there parking available at Hobo Helsinki?

Yes. Hobo Helsinki has a cooperation agreement with Europark P-Kluuvi public parking garage, accessible from Fabianinkatu 27. The garage operates on a camera system — simply drive in and provide your license plate number to our reception, and we'll add parking to your stay in 24-hour installments. Parking costs €35 per 24-hour period. Drive-in is open 06:00–24:00, and drive-out is available around the clock.

The hotel was designed by Studio Aisslinger and features 183 uniquely designed rooms with signature peg walls stocked with curated, borrowable items. Hobo is part of the Strawberry Hotels group and holds a Nordic Swan sustainability certification.

What room types does Hobo Helsinki offer?

Hobo Helsinki has 183 rooms across several categories, including standard rooms, Corner Suites, and Loft Suites. All rooms feature the signature peg wall concept with borrowable curated items, Hobo’s Helsinki tip map, comfortable beds, modern amenities, and interiors designed by Berlin-based Studio Aisslinger. Guests can also purchase items from the peg walls through the hotel shop at reception.

Sustainability

What sustainability practices does Hobo Helsinki follow?

Hobo Helsinki holds a Nordic Swan certification, which is an internationally recognized standard for sustainable hospitality. Our room cleaning concept is opt-in by default — rooms are cleaned on request rather than daily, reducing water and resource consumption while still being fully available whenever guests want it. We also prioritize hyper-local and seasonal ingredients in our food and beverage offerings, and use eco-friendly toiletries throughout the hotel.

How does the room cleaning concept work?

To reduce our environmental footprint, we clean rooms on request rather than automatically every day. This saves water and resources without any compromise on cleanliness — just let us know any time you'd like your room cleaned, and if you notify us by 14:00 we can have it done the same day. The cleaning is fully included in your room rate.
