Äänilevy On Ystävä, “The Vinyl Record is a Friend” is a low-threshold club for enthusiasts of vinyl magic, welcoming both newcomers to the vinyl scene, the general audience, and experienced DJs alike. It promotes inclusivity by welcoming all music lovers regardless of age, gender, nationality, or personal music taste. The only 'language requirement' for the event is 'vinyl'. The club is run by volunteers and as a free event, it also promotes economic equality. Each event is attended by members of the collective who, if necessary, provide guidance and assistance to less experienced performers, including how to use equipment.

The event creates an encouraging, safe, and warm environment where both performers and music listeners feel welcome. It fosters community across genre boundaries and enriches the city's musical culture with its diverse offerings. In this bubbling cauldron of limitless musical genres, there is a unique opportunity to share one's personal love for music with others, just as it is at its best in the dim corner of one's own living room.
